Barcelona's Public Art

You don't have to go to a museum to see some amazing works of art in Barcelona! They are everywhere from being on the street, the beach to hiding in corners. You basically get the experience of being in an art museum without having to pay! Here are some of the art pieces I found and loved in Barcelona.

Location: Platja de Sant Miquel beach

Fact: Made in 1992 for the Barcelona Summer Olympics. It is 10 m tall and is supposed to be in memory of the older chiringuitos (beach bars) before the area got redone for the Olympics.

Location: Plaça de Sant Miquel behind City Hall

Fact: Made in 2012 as a tribute to the human towers done at public events in Catalonia.

I think these may have actually been a temporary exhibit, so they may not be there anymore but they were beautiful!!


There are plenty more pieces around the city there are just some that I saw! Have fun exploring all the art!
